County Players\, one of the longest running community theatre companies in the area is proud to present the sweeping musical tapestry &ldquo\;Ragtime&rdquo\;\, which opens Friday\, May 3\, and runs through May 19\, 2024. With a book by Terrence McNally\, Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens\, Music by Stephen Flaherty and based on the novel\, &ldquo\;Ragtime&rdquo\; by E.L. Doctorow\, the show is directed by Anna Marie Paolercio with musical direction by Karen Dalmer-Sheehy\, and choreography by Denise Wornell. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday May 3\, 4\, 10\, 11\, 17 &\; 18 at 8pm\, with matinees at 2pm on Sundays\, May 12 &\; 19 and Saturday May 18 at County Players Falls Theatre\, 2681 W. Main Street in the Village of Wappingers Falls.
\n\nThis Tony Award-winning musical depicts an African-American family\, a Jewish immigrant family\, and a wealthy white suburban family in turn-of-the-century America\, who collide in pursuit of the American Dream.
