Opening its doors in January 2009\, Darkside Records is a member of CIMS (Coalition of Independent Music Stores) and was voted Hudson Valley Magazine's Best of the Hudson Valley 'Best Record Store' for two consecutive years (2015-2016). Darkside has become a Hudson Valley staple in the heart of the Poughkeepsie\, New York specializing in the sale of vinyl records\, cds\, movies\, new/used turntables and gifts. \n\n\n\nJanuary 19th Darkside Records will be celebrating their eighth year anniversary as a store (and third anniversary in their new home 611 Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie)! The celebration will take place during business hours (10am - 9pm) and will feature a store-wide sale including music\, movies and gifts\, as well as great giveaways. \n\n\n\nThere will be giveaways\, food and BEER on tap! Live music from #Caldera\, Diamonds To Dust and a special set from The Trash Pandas\, a young local band comprised of members from New Paltz Rock program for young musicians to experience the thrill and excitement of performing in their own band (more info at newpaltzrock.com)!
