Dover Plains\, NY\, April 27\, 2024 -- Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue of Dover Plains\, a nonprofit equine sanctuary\, dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted\, abused or neglected horses\, is thrilled to announce a special event in honor of Help A Horse Day on April 27th.

Help A Horse Day is a nationwide initiative that encourages horse lovers and advocates to come together to raise awareness and support for equine welfare. The day raises awareness for the need of horse sanctuaries and rescues. Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue is proud to join this meaningful cause by hosting an event that promises to be both entertaining and educational.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops\, where experienced professionals will share valuable insights into horse care\, grooming techniques\, and overall equine well-being. The festivities will also feature a variety of local vendors from the local community &\; food by The Comfort Zone. \; \;

I invite you to meet our herd of 50 horses. We have miniatures\, drafts and retired racehorses\, each with a story that helped them find their way here. I am continually impressed by what these animals can teach us about forgiveness and resiliency. Come learn why horses are so impactful in helping people develop emotional strength and how these rescued horses help people every day "\; says Deanna Mancuso\, Executive Director of Lucky Orphans.
