Ages 5-11.\n\nJuly 13\, 2026 - July 17\, 2026\n\n1 week\, Monday - Friday\, 9am 4pm\n\nLocation:\n\nOakwood Friends School\n\n22 Spackenkill Rd Poughkeepsie\, New York\, 12603\n\n\n\nCreativity thrives as campers explore their artistic abilities\, play games\, and make lasting friendships at Dutchess Arts Camp! Enjoy beautiful outdoor spaces\, ceramic kilns\, a theater\, art studios\, and other creative spaces!\n\n\n\nThe theme for Week 3 is Comics & Comets! Discover the magic of art! Explore space and epic storytelling in this cosmic week of camp! Students will create short space comics\, paint collabrative glow in the dark galaxy paintings\, design their own space ships\, and perform epic tales of crazy comets!\n\n\n\nOur experienced and friendly counselors and teaching artists support fun\, hands-on art-making with various mediums including painting\, sculpture\, ceramics\, collage\, animation\, and performance\, based on engaging weekly camp themes. The pieces created at camp will portray your child's individuality\, tapping into each camper's specific interests.\n\n \n\nA final showcase each Friday will display all of the campers' artwork and show off their learned performances to friends and family. Daily schedules include opening and closing circles\, structured art instruction\, snacks\, lunch\, and outside play.\n\n\n\nEarly drop-off available for an additional $25/day (no earlier than 8:15 am)\n\nLate pick-up available for an additional $25/day (no later than 4:45 pm)\n\nPlease email abby@thearteffect.org or call 845-471-7477 to sign up for early drop-off or late pick-up.
