12th Annual Magnolia Party

Description

The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization holds its 12^th Annual Magnolia Party on Thursday April 26, 2018 at 5:30 pm.  This event commemorates the historic magnolia tree which still stands in front of the Arts Center where Matthew Vassar cut a flowering stem and placed it on Abraham Lincoln’s coffin as his funeral train passed through Poughkeepsie on its way to Springfield, IL for burial in 1865.  This annual signature party is a fabulous fundraiser supporting the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the two historic, landmark Victorian structures that house the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center located at 9 & 12 Vassar Street in Poughkeepsie, NY.
