Dutchess Roots in Poughkeepsie, will host “A Day for John: Honoring John O’Shea” on Friday, May 1, 2026 — a date that would have marked Mr. O’Shea’s 96^th birthday. In tribute to his lifelong dedication to the Hudson Valley, the dispensary will donate 50% of all sales from that day to Hudson Valley Hospice, which provided care and support to Mr. O’Shea and his family and continues to serve patients across Dutchess and Ulster counties.
