Finding Hope After Chaos

On Sunday, November 24, Paula's Public House in Poughkeepsie will host a special event to benefit the American Red Cross of the Mid-Hudson Valley. Dr. James Halpern – Disaster Mental Health expert, a longtime Red Cross volunteer, Board of Director’s member– will speak at the event, sharing his disaster response experiences in the aftermath of events including Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. There will be live music and each attendee will receive a complimentary glass of wine or beer, and 15% of all proceeds from any additional purchases made at the Pub that day will be donated to the American Red Cross of the Mid-Hudson Valley.
