Saturday, September 12th will mark the 14th anniversary of Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation's Annual Harp 5k Run/Walk in New Paltz. Started by his family in 2002, this run is in memory of Wendell D. Harp. Devoted family man, Ulster County attorney representing businesses, as well as financial and governmental institutions, Wendell gave tirelessly, serving as a board member and then chair of Hudson Valley Hospice and was instrumental in the founding and then served as Vice Chair of Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation. In his honor, we continue to run! For our local track teams, this is an excellent early season opportunity, with the added bonus of giving back to the community and running for a cause. Additional funds can be raised through Crowdrise at https://www.crowdrise.com/HudsonValleyHospiceHarp5k All proceeds from this event are used to support the vital work of Hudson Valley Hospice. In 2014, Hudson Valley Hospice provided a full spectrum of comprehensive medical and counseling services and programs to more than 950 patients and 4500 of their family members throughout Ulster and Dutchess Counties.
