The Poughkeepsie Journal is hosting an all-day special expo Saturday, March 5. It's totally free to attend and it's called ''Money Wise.'' It's designed to help local residents make the most of every dollar. Get all that and more at Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel in downtown Poughkeepsie from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be more than two dozen booths in which local companies will offer a range of important information, such as how to finance a mortgage, reduce your utility bill, get help with tax preparation, cover the costs of a college education, plan for retirement, stretch your money, wealth management and more. The event is designed to give you access to experts with valuable advice and strategies that can improve your financial situation — now and in the future.
