Town of Poughkeepsie Trunk or Treat

Description

The event will be held at Stanley Still park on Sunday, October 27^th from 1:00 to 3:00, rain or shine. We are hoping to draw several hundred families with entertainment, activities and, of course, candy. Lots and lots of candy.
 
There are a few ways organizations can get involved.

• Provide a trunk – Send some representatives to the event with a vehicle and give out some candy. This could be a delivery truck or a logoed company vehicle but should be decorated appropriately for the event with staff in costumes (not uniforms). This could be thematic to the organization. For example, a plumbing business’s staff dressed as Mario and Luigi.

• Donate some supplies – we will need candy, decorations, candy, art supplies, and candy for the event.
  • If an organization is interested in pursuing this avenue, they should contact me directly.
• Donate some prizes – there are awards for the best decorated vehicles in three categories: Best in Show, Spookiest and Most Original.
  • We would like the winners to go home with an impressive gift basket in addition to their trophies. Items and gift certificates would be welcome to augment the prizes.

 
Participating organizations will get promotional considerations in our outreach to the public as well as on the day of the event.
