Unbroken Glass: Mental Illness in Sou...

Description

Join Vassar College South Asian Students’ Alliance and ViCE Film for a film screening of "Unbroken Glass," a powerful account of director Dinesh Das Sabu's discovery his family's history of mental illness--one so often swept under a rug and kept buried.  Deeply personal, Unbroken Glass follows Dinesh’s emotional journey to finally piece together the story of the death of his parents twenty years later. Through his film, Dinesh travels across the United States and India to piece together his parents’ story and his own and uncovers a silenced family history of mental illness. Director Dinesh Das Sabu will be attending the screening and will participate in a Q&A after the film is over.
