¡Invitamos a nuestra comunidad latina a venir y conocer al personal de la ciudad y del distrito, así como a nuestros socios que ayudan a aprovechar las oportunidades y los recursos para fomentar mejores resultados para usted!

El objetivo de esta reunión es ayudar a cerrar la brecha en la información y los recursos que están disponibles para ayudar a reducir las oportunidades perdidas y ayudar a los estudiantes y ciudadanos de todas las edades a prosperar.

 

El evento es gratuito, apto para familias, con eventos planificados para niños y refrigerios servidos.

La noche será un encuentro y un saludo y no consistirá en presentaciones formales. Ven y ve como quieras.

The City of Poughkeepsie and the Poughkeepsie City School District invite you to a joint meeting for our Latino community.

We invite our Latino community to come and meet City and District staff, as well as our partners who help harness opportunities and resources to foster better results for you!

 

Some partners that will be on the site include (check back often as this list will be updated daily):

 

• Free activities for children offered by the Poughkeepsie Library and Community Foundations

• Pop-up COVID Vaccine Clinic with a new vaccine will be on view

• Resources for Latino Seniors and Latino Veterans

• Resources for migrant families

• Information on scholarships from Community Foundations for Latinos

 

• Hudson Migrant Education Program

• Poughkeepsie Library Reading Demonstrations

 

• Waverly Software Demo: Parents can learn how to use and get a demo that combines the latest advances in speech recognition, machine translation, and wearable technology to help you converse without language barriers.

• and Revolution Radio, the Hudson Valley community platform will be broadcasting live!

 

 

FREE: Refreshments will be served

District and city staff who support and interact with the Latino community will be in attendance. The goal of this meeting is to help bridge the gap in information and resources that are available to help reduce missed opportunities and help students and citizens of all ages thrive.

 

The event is free, family-friendly, with events planned for children and refreshments served.

The evening will be a meet and greet and will not consist of formal introductions. Come and go as you please.
