  • WHAT IS YOUTH ONE STOP?

Youth One Stop is a comprehensive education and job-training program utilizing local resources to youth in Dutchess County. The program is open to income-eligible youth and veterans, ages 14-24 who are facing obstacles inhibiting them from completing school, finishing their HSE, gaining employment, or need additional training to embark on their career goals. Offering individual mentorship, career guidance, and real-world experience, participants graduate from Youth One Stop prepared to enter today's ever-evolving workforce.

    INDIVIDUALIZED PLANNING

We don’t believe in “one size fits all.” Participants work directly with one of our Youth Service Specialists to curate a unique plan to fit participants’ individual needs and goals.

We believe in change. Throughout the program, we understand that participant’s goals and interests can change – and that is okay! Our Youth Service Specialists are committed to your success and continuously provide opportunities that inspire your growth.

    CAREER EXPLORATION

We don’t expect you to know it all. Youth One Stop provides weekly workshops for participants to explore the countless career opportunities in today’s workforce. This includes professional guest speakers, business site visits, and training provider informational sessions right here within our local community.

    WORKFORCE PREPARATION

We believe experience is key. Take part in paid work experience opportunities such as job shadows, internships, and transitional jobs to test-out your interests in different careers.

Tailored individualized plans focus on developing key skills that are fundamental towards reaching participant’s personal and career goals.

Additional opportunities include educational scholarships and funding for occupational skills training to prepare participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to embark on their careers.

    LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Though skills knowledge can get you far, personal development will always take you further. Whether it’s learning how to managing stress, time, or becoming a confident public speaker, continuous opportunities are offered every week to help you grow into a confident community leader.

This program is in cooperation with the Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board.
